Background
Utah Constitutional Militia is a militia group that purports to act as the “militia” mentioned in the United States and Utah constitutions, but is actually a private paramilitary organization. The organization seems to have been founded in 2015 and uses a decentralized leadership structure. The group was actively “policing” political events in the past but seems to be largely inactive now as an organized group. (a.k.a. “Utah Militia,” “The Militia of Utah,” & “45th Force”)
Ideology
While specifically part of the militia movement, Utah Constitutional Militia is also an anti-government group whose members believe they live in an oligarchy and have a responsibility to rebuild a “constitutional republic.” The group also often shares conspiracies related to United Nations or globalist takeovers of the federal government that are common to other anti-government groups.

Tactics
Although the group’s website claims that anyone can join the militia at “the park nearest you” on the first Wednesday of every month, the group is mainly known for group “policing” at political events and protests. For example, Utah Constitutional Militia members showed up at a “rally against police brutality and in favor of equality” in August 2020 and at an anti-mask protest in Salt Lake City in September 2020.
